Inspiration: Ethiopian Icons
The five authentic folk art icons below were used to inspire and capture the essence of the Ethiopian style that flows throughout the book’s illustrations.
Ethiopian icons are brilliantly colored depictions of Bible stories. They can be painted, carved, embroidered, cast in metal, or done as a wall mosaic. Icons can be made of wood, stone, paper, leather, etc.
